Entry_002: The Cost of Direction

THE DROPPOINT:

Clarity doesn’t make things easier. It makes them louder.

The moment I started feeling secure in the direction of the brand—when the vision sharpened and the storytelling got honest—the chaos followed. New levels, new devils.

THE ENTRY:

This is the second log. Not a breakdown, just the terrain.

Finalizing the next season should feel like a celebration. But instead, it’s been friction. Delays. Miscommunication. Pieces showing up like they were made for someone else’s line, not mine.

I’ve improved. My tech packs are tight. My messaging is clear. I know what to ask for, what to expect. But still—wrong fabrics, flipped proportions, missed timelines.

Working overseas adds another layer. Distance becomes distrust real quick. You learn that getting scammed or ignored is just part of the cost. Bringing it stateside? Not now. The infrastructure’s not there, and neither is the trust.

This isn’t some casual project. This is the only thing I’ve gone all in on.

And when I start questioning if this struggle is worth it—my mentor, my brother, my Yoda—grounds me.
He reminds me:
“This is what happens when you choose to be different.”
“There’s frustration in raising a child.”
“Nothing beats a failure but a try.”

This brand is that child. Born out of everything I never had growing up. Every obstacle, every moment I had to bite my tongue, every time I had to make do.

So I keep trying. Keep creating. Keep shaping HOMSW like it’s my second skin.

Because it is.

This is deeper than fashion. This is healing. This is identity. This is me, refusing to be erased.

This is THE VAULT. The setbacks. The scar tissue. The proof of purpose.

We document here so the journey doesn’t get erased.

THE TAKEAWAY:

Some delays are just detours. Keep going anyway. Especially when what you're building feels like the only thing that ever made sense.
